"Yesterday the american president Bush visited Germany. He (and his staff) were so paranoid that within a circumference of 60 km around Mainz (for some reason I don't know he didn't go to Berlin) all public life had to stop! Flights were canceled, Autobahns were blocked, major parts of the city of Mainz were blocked, seage pipes were checked and sealed off, the Rhine river was controlled by scuba divers... Quite incredible, it has never happened in Germany before, and people are somehow amused and annoyed at the same time."
