Amigos!

That´s incredible here! Amasing! Looked so unfreindly in the beginnig - a dust in the air, volcanic grey-red desert with cactuses and strangely looking plants that I can hardly imagine the names. But then we reached Sainta Cruz it was much much better. Everything is unfamiliar, people are very friendly, relaxed and awfully talkative. And again, I don´t understand even a word, well, except for "gracias"...
There are no rivers, trains and metro but lots of churches and pubs. Coffee is so strong that you must orger a glass of water with. Finally it is warm! I´ve been tired of cold windy weather that seems is not going to change soon in Europe. I tried a boiled octupus with vinegar - eats nicely with the Canarian beer "Dorada". Eh!
The univerity´s old building looks a little sad, full of pigeons and half-dead palm-trees, but the new buildings are well-kept and comfortable. Visited labs already... A few important things are missing but we´re ready to start the preparation part.
Haven´t seen any Canaries (birds) except for one in a cage in the market.
You may laugh, but I should be going for work... Although the weekeing is planning as a beach lazy time.
